Self-care is not the same thing as self-pampering or self-indulgence, and it doesn't have to cost anything. It's not about living like royalty or surrendering to every selfish impulse. Self-care is about knowing your importance and giving your mind, your body, your feelings and your soul what they need to flourish.
Here are a few things you can start doing everyday, to self-care that are good for your hair too:
1.Sleep
Sleep plays an important role in allowing the body to repair and regenerate, and promote hair growth. Insomnia may disrupt your physical and emotional health. The hair is very sensitive to changes in the body, and hair loss will occur with such changes. To help keep a healthy head of hair, sleep
2. Hydrate throughout the day.
Water hydrates the body and helps to regulate the circulatory system, which feeds the hair follicle, which then stimulates hair growth. If your hair roots are deficient in adequate water levels your tresses will eventually become dry, brittle and may stop growing. To stay cute, stay hydrated.
3. Incorporate regular exercise into your schedule.
Regular exercise increases general health and improved blood circulation in the body. Increased circulation stimulates growth in hair follicles. This means that improved overall health facilitates healthy hair growth. So whip out those yoga mats ladies.
Happy hair days!
